Millcreek Township’s 2020 Fourth of July Parade Cancelled

COVID

A joint decision was made by the Millcreek 4th of July Parade Committee and Millcreek Township to cancel the 55th Annual 4th of July Parade due to safety concerns surrounding the COVID-19 Pandemic.  The Parade Committee and Township came to this difficult conclusion after consulting with the Erie County Department of Health and after close review of the logistics of this event.  The 4th of July Parade draws approximately 30,000 attendees annually.  Unfortunately, with State recommendations and regulations on group gatherings and social distancing, it would be extremely difficult for the parade to adhere to these public health and safety guidelines.  The Parade Committee is exploring possible alternative options for a future community event at this time.
