Millcreek Township is seeking a full time Assistant Secretary to perform a variety of administrative and Secretarial duties directly related to the operation of the Board of Supervisors. Previous experience in the Public Sector is beneficial.
Duties of the Assistant Secretary include preparation and distribution of meeting minutes, agendas and other communications; recording and transcribing meeting minutes; publication and posting of notices for meetings of the Board of Supervisors; and management of the Townships competitive bidding process. Responsibilities also include acting as the Township’s Right to Know Officer, receiving and responding to Right to Know requests.
A Pennsylvania Notary Public Certification and a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license are required. Working knowledge of the Second Class Township Code, Township Ordinances, Pennsylvania Right to Know Act and the Sunshine Act are strongly preferred. Qualified candidates will be able to operate a variety of computer and office equipment, as well as having advanced organizational skills.
