Residential Curbside Recycling

PLACE INTO YOUR BLUE RECYCLE BIN:
**IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT ITEMS BE BUNDLED OR BAGGED IN A CLEAR/TRANSPARENT BAG.

• Aluminum and steel cans
• Clear and colored glass
• Food and drink containers (rinsed)
• All plastics #1 through #7 (You will find the recycling symbol with the number on the bottom of most containers. If there is NO SYMBOL, it is garbage).
• All paper and cardboard items such as:
  
  • Newspapers
  • White and colored paper
  • Envelopes
  • Junk mail
  • Shredded paper
  • Magazines & catalogs
  • All cardboard items

  NOTE: Corrugated cardboard boxes that will not fit into a clear/transparent bag, must be flattened and bundled. (cannot exceed 4’ X 4’ maximum height and width).

You are permitted ONE bulk item per week.
(Furniture, mattresses, appliances or items that will not fit into a bag)
EXCEPTION – Refrigerators, Freezers, Dehumidifiers and Air Conditioners that contain Freon.

REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING:

• Please rinse all containers
• Have trash and recycling at curb no later that 6AM
• Place recyclables away from trash for a more efficient pick up
• If a major holiday falls Monday through Friday, collections will be one day later for the rest of the week.

OPTIONAL PAY AS YOU THROW PROGRAM

Per Bag Service is available for residents who do not generate enough trash for a weekly pickup. Call the Recycling office for details at 833-1111 ext. 317.

**A roll of 25 (32 gallon) clear/transparent bags for recycling or leaves.......................$4.00
20 gallon round or 28 gallon square replacement bin................................................$5.00
65 gallon recycle bin with lid and wheels...............................................................$20.00

THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR RECYCLING:

• Styrofoam container (including egg cartons)
• Waxed paper or wax coated cartons
• Pizza boxes or any box touched by food waste
• Box liners such as those in cereal boxes
• Foil gift wrap or tissue gift wrap
