Paint

Latex or Oil-based paint: Remove lid and place the lid in trash. Allow paint to harden completely. You may add newspaper strips or cat litter to speed the drying process. There is also paint hardening material that is available at most hardware stores that may be used. When the paint is completely dry, place NEXT to your Trash (Not Recycling) and Waste Management will take it.

Waste Management must be able to see that the paint has solidified and there is no liquid left in the container.

If you have a substantial amount of paint you can no longer use, you may want to consider donating to a church, school, or charity that may be able to use it for its intended purpose.
