Millcreek Parks and Recreation

Strategic Plan

Over the last two months the Parks and Recreation Department has been engaging in a strategic planning process to guide future growth and development of our parks and recreation system over the next 5 years.  During the month of November, the Parks and Recreation Department hosted 3 community engagement sessions as well as launched a public survey.  The goal of the engagement sessions and survey was to collect as much feedback and information as possible on Millcreek's parks and amenities as well as programs and activities.  The sessions and surveys also aimed at collecting information on what amenities or programs residents desired for our community.

On December 11th, a Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan Open House was held at the Township Building to review key findings of the public engagement sessions and community survey that took place during the month of November.  Interesting and valuable information was collected; and from that information, 3 suggested target focus areas of future planning have been identified.  A presentation was given at the open house that summarized this information.  A link to the presentation can be found here: Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan Presentation.

We invite all to review this material and also encourage any feedback or ideas on the 3 identified focus areas.  Feedback can be submitted to the Township through an online form: https://forms.office.com/r/0iX8bFkTRJ.

Below is a snapshot overview of the Parks and Recreation Department as well as a summary of the Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan findings and recommended focus areas.  We thank all who participated during any portion of the process so far!  We appreciate your continued support as we look to the future of this department!
