Curbside Leaf & Brush Collection
HOW TO DISPOSE OF GRASS, LEAVES, & BRUSH CURBSIDE
BRANCHES: Residents may take branches to the Millfair Compost Center for FREE. Customers of Advanced Disposal may also place branches curbside during Brush Collection Week. Branches MUST be cut into 4ft. sections and bundled for curbside pickup. Branches CANNOT be placed in the recycle toters as this contaminates the curbside recycling program.
LEAVES: Residents may take leaves to the Millfair Compost Center for FREE. Customers of Advanced Disposal may also take advantage of the 5 scheduled weeks of curbside leaf collection. ALL leaf waste MUST be placed in clear/transparent bags during the scheduled leaf collection weeks on your normal pickup day. Bags must be placed separate from trash and recycling containers and CANNOT contain GRASS and branches! Leaves CANNOT be placed in the recycle toters as this contaminates our curbside recycling program. A third truck from Advanced Disposal will pick up the leaf bags on your regularly scheduled collection day.
2021 Curbside Leaf & Brush Collection Weeks:
Christmas Tree Collection Week January 4th – January 8th
Spring Leaf Pickup Week May 3rd – May 7th
1st Fall Leaf Pickup Week October 18th – 22nd
2nd Fall Leaf Pickup Week November 1st – November 5th
3rd Fall Leaf Pickup Week November 15th – November 19th
Last Fall Leaf Pickup Week December 6th – December 10th
GRASS: Grass MUST be bagged and placed curbside for weekly trash collection. An alternative to bagging grass would be to use a mulching lawn mower. Grass may also be composted in a backyard composting bin if chemicals are not used on the lawn. Mix grass with leaves and aerate regularly. For more information on proper composting techniques, please visit the Millcreek Government Channel on YouTube (Search: Backyard Composting 101).
If your trash, recycling, or leaf waste is not collected, please call Advanced Disposal at 1.844.415.5970 to report a missed collection.
