Millcreek Police Accept Second Harvest Food Bank Award

Millcreek Township Police have been nominated for the Bread Box Award given by the Second Harvest Food Bank. For their generous donation efforts, they have received second place.

“The Millcreek Police Department in the last year has raised over $7,500 and over 7,000 pounds of food benefiting all 11 counties in Northwest Pennsylvania.” said Second Harvest Food Bank Marketing & Media Coordinator, Natalie Massing.

Millcreek Police have run and helped organize several events such as Stuff the Cop Car and Fill the Backpack. Stuff the Cop Car alone collected over one ton of food and $2,000 in a single afternoon.

“We love doing positive work for the community. These are truly volunteer efforts, we’re not getting paid and we do not want to be. We are grateful to The Second Harvest Food Bank for the recognition, but we’d do it anyways.” said Millcreek Police Association President, Kyle Caldwell.

Millcreek Police look forward to the upcoming Fill the Backpack campaign at Wegmans December 18th and 11th.
