MILLCREEK TOWNSHIP UNVEILS NEW IDENTITY
For Immediate Release: April 14, 2023
MILLCREEK, PA – On April 14, 2023, the new seal of Millcreek Township was unveiled to community members and officials in the Municipal Building. The design comes with a renewed commitment to the Millcreek community in the form of a new mission, vision and values.
“Our mission is to serve the community of Millcreek Township. The simplicity of this statement is intentional, we have always endeavored to achieve that.” said Community Relations and Sustainability Director, Jessica Stutzman.
Resident input was given during a recent survey regarding specific imagery and key phrases associated with Millcreek. The results aligned with resident feedback provided during the Embrace Millcreek planning process. The data was then interpreted by the design team and sent to a graphic design consultant only for finalization.
The new seal is rich in symbolism, such as the six stars representing the six values of family, industry, recreation, sustainability, safety, and stewardship. The three colors also showcase distinct landscapes and Millcreek’s governance under three elected supervisors and the white ring illustrating Millcreek’s position as the Gateway District.
In terms of physical change, the new designs will be on future letterhead, business cards, signage, vehicles, work shirts and more. There will also be various secondary designs. A campaign, Millcreek Made, has been launched to communicate these changes to a large audience and to increase engagement in the community. Among the communications for Millcreek Made are billboards and digital advertisements.
“Millcreek is the most populous township in western Pennsylvania. As the community continues to grow it deserves designs that reflect the unique identity and feeling of the township” said Communications Coordinator, Samuel Peterson.
Residents are encouraged to visit Millcreek social media and take the Millcreek Made survey, found physically at the Municipal Building, on each profile, or on the website. Community members wanting more information will be able to find additional info on, www.millcreektownship.com.
