
QUICK FIREFIGHTER RESPONSE LEADS TO CONTAINMENT AND SAFETY

MILLCREEK, Pa., Aug. 18, 2023 - On Aug. 16, at approximately 9:30 p.m., the Millcreek Township Fire Department responded to a fire incident at 5624 Peach St., involving the Dunkin' Donuts establishment. The firefighters' prompt response and coordinated efforts ensured the safety of all involved and the successful containment of the fire.
The incident occurred when a maintenance worker was operating a basket-man lift extended to the roof of the Dunkin' Donuts building. A fire broke out within the basket and rapidly spread to the roof of the structure. Upon receiving the emergency call, Millcreek Township Fire Department dispatched multiple units to the scene to address the situation.
Firefighters arrived swiftly and engaged in a strategic operation to contain the fire. Their efficient actions prevented the further escalation of the flames, and no firefighter injuries were reported. After the fire was quickly brought under control, the focus shifted to conducting overhaul and ventilation procedures to ensure complete extinguishment and the removal of any residual smoke.
Through the tireless efforts of the MFD, they cleared the scene and declared the situation resolved just after 11:00 p.m., providing a testament to their expertise and commitment to public safety.
