Asbury Park is a 96 acre park. The park is owned by Millcreek School District and acquired by the Recreation Commission on January 6, 1968 with a lease agreement until December 31, 2013.
Initial Development & History
Initial Development & History
- 1894 - Original barn constructed
- 1958 - Dr. Otto Behrend donated the land to the Millcreek School District upon his death
- 1964 - Development started jointly in October between Millcreek School District and Millcreek Township
- 1965 - Roof replaced
- 1968 - Major work completed including restrooms, lighting, heating, new floors, new siding. Work done by Heidt, Evans, Solatta Architects
- 1969 - Dedication by Millcreek Supervisors on September 18

- 1 Pavilion - 200 capacity, electric, water
- 1 Pavilion - 50 capacity

- 1 Sand volleyball court
- 1 Softball field - lighted in 1977
- 4 Tennis courts, 2 asphalt, 2 omni surface
- Asbury Barn - 2 floors, complete kitchen, restrooms, 250 people capacity
- Heated, outdoor year-round restrooms
